Does accessibility make the website more expensive or uglier?
No, both are common misconceptions. Accessibility is standard with us from the outset and not a costly surcharge, because we think it in from the start rather than bolting it on afterwards. It is precisely this retrofitting that would be expensive; clean upfront planning is not.
In terms of design, too, accessibility does not stand in the way of good looks, quite the opposite. Clear structures, good readability, calm colour contrasts and well-thought-out operation feel pleasant to all visitors, not just people with impairments. An accessible care website is in practice usually also clearer, faster and easier to understand than a retrofitted solution. Beauty and accessibility are not opposites; together they make up a serious presence that suits the care sector.
