Care and health
registered nurse
In short and in plain language
A registered nurse has done full nursing training or a nursing degree.
The state has approved this.
Some tasks may only be done by such a nurse. Planning the care is one of them.
Job ads also call them trained nurses.
Definition
A care professional with completed state-recognised nursing training or a nursing degree that leads to the professional qualification, for example a general nurse under the Nursing Professions Act or a geriatric nurse. Certain tasks, such as assessing care needs and managing the care process, are reserved to them by law. Job adverts also call them qualified nurses.
